Bike & Walk Montclair Last Friday of the Month Community Rides:
Bike & Walk Montclair’s Last Friday of the Month Community Rides are geared for a relaxed, quiet evening bicycle ride through the streets of Montclair. Cyclists meet at the Montclair Public Library, Main Branch, between 6:30 and 7:00 pm, on the last Friday of each month. The group ride starts promptly at 7:00 pm. This leisurely and undefined tour has no leaders, and no pre-determined route – so be prepared for some fun surprises.
Participating cyclists should be "street savvy" and have well lighted bikes. Helmets are required. Bike & Walk Montclair defines a street savvy cyclist as follows:
• A street savvy cyclist understands the rules of the road and rides with confidence, respect and courtesy.

Fleet Feet Weekly Runs/Walks
Fleet Feet Montclair has organized group runs/walks to support runners, walkers, and triathletes of all ages and abilities. It is a great opportunity to exercise with others, meet new people, and train for events.
Thursday Night Fun Run/Walk at 6:00 pm – This is a social group for walkers, run/walkers, runners and triathletes. We run in the Fleet Feet neighborhood for 3-6 miles (approximately 30-60 minutes). The group completes a 3-mile loop. Upon returning to the store, people have the option to head out for additional 3-miles or stay. We help match you to others of a similar pace. This is a no drop run, welcoming all paces.
Funday Sunday Morning Long Runs at 7:00am - This is a fun group of people who are either training for endurance events such as a half marathon or marathon, or simply enjoy running longer distances. We run through parts of Montclair and park settings for 6-8+ miles (approximately 60-90+ minutes). We will help match you with others of similar pace. This is also a no drop run, welcoming all paces.
Van Vleck House and Gardens: Some of the most beautiful flora in Northern New Jersey fills the gardens of Van Vleck House, including a large collection of rhododendrons. a majestic wisteria that blooms in May, and lovely perennial beds. The estate covers almost 6 acres and is a prime example of the homes originally built in Montclair. The grounds are maintained with the help of volunteers so admission is always free for exploring the grounds.
Studio 12: Share your talent or enjoy others performing at Studio 12, upstairs at 12 Church Street, every Wednesday night from 7:30pm. Listen to local faves like Meg Beattie Patrick, Greg Spinelli, Diana Liddy, Carrie Cantor and others play rock, blues & jazz, or take your turn at the open mic. No cover, light menu, dessert and beverages available.
Tierney's Tavern: Acoustic Showcase Night at Tierney's Tavern at Every Thursday night at 9 pm, the mic is open to anyone and everyone.
